I served as a submarine officer for 22 years, retiring in 2005 from the Naval Reserves as a Commander. My wife and I live in the Blue Ridge mountains near Harpers Ferry, WV, on the Appalachian Trail and above the Shenandoah River. When I am not writing, I work in the satellite industry and in my free time enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, kayaking, and skiing. I am also an avid pilot and have been flying for over 35 years, and have over 4000 hours time as a pilot in command.
I enjoy telling stories and entertaining people. I also want my writing to be more than amusing, I want it to inform and make people think about things.
